Herd Men’s Hoops Closes Weekend against Georgia State

The Marshall University men's basketball team (17-5, 6-3 Sun Belt) finishes the weekend with a contest against the Georgia State Panthers (9-12, 2-7 Sun Belt) on Saturday in the Cam Henderson Center.
 
Saturday's contest is sold out.

Thursday night was a historic night for Taevion Kinsey. The Columbus, Ohio, native played in his program-record 144th career game and recorded the 500th assist of his career.
 
The fifth-year senior became the lone player in program history and the only active player in the country to have over 2,000 points, 700 rebounds and 500 assists during their career.

SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE
The Panthers come to Huntington on a three-game losing streak after falling at App State on Thursday night. They have second-best free-throw shooting percentage in the conference at 73.3 percent.
 
Dwon Odom ranks third in the Sun Belt as he makes 82.4 percent of his free throw, eighth in assists per game at 3.6 and 10th in points per game with 14.2.
