The Marshall University School of Music is set to present its annual holiday concert, "Home for the Holidays," after Thanksgiving break. The event will showcase various ensembles and students from the university's music program. It is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2, at the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse.
"This is an evening the whole family will enjoy, featuring a variety of different types of holiday music and fun," stated Dr. Martin Saunders, director of the School of Music. "Home for the Holidays will help set the tone for your holiday season."
Ticket prices are set at $25 at the door, with seniors aged 55 and older eligible for a discounted rate of $15. Marshall University employees and students can purchase tickets for $5 with a valid MU ID. Children aged 12 and under can attend free of charge.
Advance ticket sales begin on November 20 and can be purchased at the Marshall Box Office in the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center or by calling 304-696-2787 during box office hours from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The concert is sponsored by the School of Music within Marshall University's College of Arts and Media.
