Marshall University is set to host a holiday concert featuring the Brass Band of the TriState. The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, in Smith Recital Hall. Attendees can expect to hear classic Christmas pieces like “A Carol Fantasy” and variations on “Lo How a Rose e’r Blooming.” Popular tunes such as “The Christmas Song,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “The Twelve Days of Christmas” will also be performed.

Dr. Michael Stroeher, a music professor at Marshall, directs the band. The Brass Band of the TriState is noted for being the only college-community British-style brass band in the state. Their repertoire includes both historic British compositions and contemporary popular music.

The concert is free and open to everyone interested.
