Marshall University's School of Theatre and Dance is set to stage "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)" from December 4 to 7 at the Francis-Booth Experimental Theatre within the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. This comedic production, crafted by Michael Carleton, James FitzGerald, and John K. Alvarez, offers a blend of popular Christmas stories featuring characters like the Grinch, Rudolph, Frosty, and Charles Dickens.
Sam Kincaid, project coordinator for the School of Theatre and Dance, describes the play as “a humorous and irreverent take on the traditional holiday narrative.” He notes that it features “a fast-paced compilation of classic Christmas tales,” incorporating pop culture references, improvisation, and audience participation. This approach aims to provide a fresh experience for audiences by celebrating the season with humor while exploring Christmas themes in an unexpected manner.
The production will be under the direction of theatre Professor John Colclough. The cast includes Daniel Calwell, George Kinley, and Gavid Spiewak.
Tickets are available at $22 for general admission, $15 for seniors and employees, and $5 for children aged 5-12. Marshall University students can attend free on opening night or pay $5 for performances on subsequent nights.
