Marshall University faculty receive recognition at state counseling conference

Marshall University announced that two faculty members from its College of Education and Professional Development were honored at the West Virginia Counseling Association conference. Dr. Jerica Wesley and Dr. Kari Mika-Lude received awards for their contributions to the counseling field.

Dr. Wesley was awarded the Innovative Research Award, acknowledging her dedication to advancing the counseling profession through scholarship.

Dr. Mika-Lude received two awards: the Distinguished Advocacy Award, which honors outstanding service and commitment to the counseling profession, clients, or community through advocacy work in West Virginia, and the Outstanding Counselor Educator Award, recognizing excellence and innovation as an instructor.

Both recipients serve as assistant professors in Marshall University's Department of Counseling.
