Marshall University’s Office of Career Education will host two career fairs in September, providing students and alumni with opportunities to connect with employers across various industries. Both events are open to those seeking internships, part-time, and full-time job opportunities.

The first event, the Cyber Security and Cyberforensic Career Fair, is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Memorial Student Center. This fair targets students interested in cybersecurity, cyberforensics, and related fields. Attendees can explore opportunities within the tech sector, network with industry professionals, and learn about potential career paths in cyber defense and digital forensics.

On Wednesday, Sept. 25, the All-Majors Career Fair will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Rec Center. With over 120 companies from diverse industries attending, this fair caters to students of all academic backgrounds. Participants can meet potential employers, distribute resumes, and explore numerous career and internship opportunities.

“These career fairs provide invaluable opportunities for students to connect with employers and learn about the wide array of positions available in today’s job market,” said Jennifer Brown, assistant director for Student Engagement and Marketing at Marshall University’s Office of Career Education. “We encourage all students to take advantage of these events to network, practice their interviewing skills, and get a head start on their career journeys.” Students are advised to bring multiple copies of their resume and dress in business professional attire.

Both career fairs are free for all Marshall students and alumni; no pre-registration is required. Additional resources such as resume reviews and career fair preparation tips are available through the Office of Career Education.
