"That's a big win! It doesn't matter how you start it. If you finish like that, it feels good," Marshall head coach Tony Kemper said. "Obviously, we have to work on (our start). I don't know why we started so lethargic, but as this team has done, we found a spark and some energy and it got us over the hump."
Beeman's emphatic triple in the fourth quarter capped off an 14-4 run to turn a three-point deficit into a ten-point Marshall lead.
App State had led for 30 minutes of the contest with only one lead change. Once Marshall took the lead, it never changed back.

"It's super-relieving because I know if I get beat off the dribble, I have someone there to clean up the paint," Beeman said. "Mo gets so many blocks every game, so it makes it a little easier on us guards."
Before the Marshall rally, the Mountaineers started quick, scoring 18 of the game's first 22 points. The Herd trailed by nine after one, and by eight at the half, before the second half flurry.
The Herd's eight point win came on a night in which the team celebrated Diversity/Inclusion/Pride Night.
