Huntington Tree-Lighting Ceremony Set for November 22

The City of Huntington, Mountain Health Arena, Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Huntington Partners present Huntington's annual tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Mountain Health Arena Plaza.

The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will include performances by Lee Dean, Bridget's Dance Studio, Nancy's School of Dance, Huntington Dance Theatre and the Thundertones. Free refreshments will be provided by Peach Cobbler Factory and Mountain Health Arena. Arena staff also will provide concessions for sale. Mayor Steve Williams and First Lady Mary Poindexter Williams will flip the switch on the lights to the tree.

Hedgecock Photography will take candid photos of the event and of the crowd that can be purchased online afterward.

The ceremony also will mark the official unveiling of new holiday decorations and a new tree on the plaza. The decorations were purchased from Artistic Holiday Designs of Indiana after a public bidding process and will be installed by ARC Productions of Ohio.
