Marshall University has marked its official launch as an Adobe Creative Campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Friday, November 1. The event celebrated the opening of the Adobe Creative Campus addition to the Drinko Library Co-Lab, signifying the university's commitment to enhancing digital literacy and creative skills among students and faculty.

This partnership places Marshall University among a select group of institutions worldwide dedicated to integrating Adobe’s suite of creative applications into education across various disciplines. The program allows faculty members to incorporate Adobe’s Creative Cloud software into their curriculum, providing students access to tools like Adobe Express.

“We’re excited to expand our resources with this new partnership,” said Jodie Penrod, Marshall University Chief Information Officer. “Becoming an Adobe Creative Campus provides our students and faculty with innovative tools and a distinct advantage in developing the technical and creative skills required in an ever-evolving digital world.”

The Co-Lab offers a space for creativity, collaboration, and innovation, bringing together students, faculty, and industry professionals to engage with the latest Adobe technologies. This environment is designed to inspire students to fully realize their creative potential.

Additionally, Marshall students will have opportunities to take courses and earn certified badges from Adobe. These credentials demonstrate essential skills such as visual communication, social media presence establishment, and understanding generative AI—key abilities in today’s job market.
