In addition to these exhibitions, the Birke Art Gallery will host "Stressed to Impress: Selected Foundations Works." This exhibition highlights exceptional work by students who have recently completed the Foundations program and review process. It has been juried by faculty members of the School of Art & Design and features notable pieces from this stage of student development.
"Stressed to Impress" will be open for viewing from November 18 through December 20. An awards reception is planned for November 20 from 5 to 7 p.m., with awards announced at 5:30 p.m.
Gallery Director Courtney Chapman emphasized that these exhibitions demonstrate the achievements of Marshall's art students as they progress through their education and prepare for future endeavors.
Mark Zanter, director of the School of Art & Design, stated: “The Foundations Review and Capstone Exhibitions showcase student creativity within the School of Art & Design. They give our community a glimpse into the diversity and depth of our students’ work and highlight the talent emerging from our classrooms and studios.” He invited everyone to celebrate these expressive pieces created by students.
