This is the second highest average salary per county earned by coaches at West Virginia post-secondary schools during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $268,762 on average in Cabell County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $83,500.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
