Marshall University has announced two significant appointments within its Office of Enrollment Services. Amanda Means has been named the associate vice president of enrollment management, and Cody Call will serve as the new director of financial aid.
Jerry Ross, chief enrollment officer and vice president of enrollment management at Marshall, praised the appointees. "Their many talents will help to strengthen Marshall University and position us for the future," Ross said. "Both of these individuals stand ready to champion our efforts."
Means brings extensive experience from her previous roles at Miami University, where she oversaw admission, enrollment operations, financial aid, strategic enrollment and retention initiatives, and Veteran Services. Her career in higher education began at Marshall University in housing and residence life and as a recruitment coordinator.
“I’m thrilled to return to Marshall University where I started my professional career,” Means stated. “As a first-generation college student from southern Ohio, my undergraduate experience at Marshall University opened the world up to me, introduced me to mentors and set me on this amazing path that has led me back to this new position. I look forward to joining what is already a strong team, continuing the work to grow and innovate and once again helping students join the Marshall family!”
Means holds a bachelor’s degree from Marshall University, a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Enrollment Management from Bay Path University, and a certificate in Enrollment Management from Ruffalo Noel Levitz.
Cody Call has served in various capacities within Marshall University's financial aid office over the past eight years. His expertise includes navigating financial aid regulations amid challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management/Marketing and his master’s degree in business administration from Marshall University.
“Serving students is at the heart of financial aid, and I am dedicated to continually expanding my knowledge and skills to better support their success and meet financial needs effectively,” Call remarked. “Whatever the challenges, I am committed to learning and improving to ensure our office provides the best possible service throughout their educational journey.”
Call assumed his new role in August while Means will start on October 7.
