The Sun Belt Conference announced its Indoor Track & Field awards, with 11 Marshall student-athletes earning special recognition.
Macie Majoy earned All-Conference First Team, following her gold medal-winning 3.98 meter clear in the Pole Vault. Majoy became the first Marshall student-athlete to win a Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Six women earned Second Team accolades - MaryAnn Adebayo, Dianna Goodman, Abby Herring, Kylee Mastin, Marlee Porter, and Sydney Smith.
Adebayo and Goodman earned second place finishes in the Weight Throw and Pole Vault. The team of Herring, Mastin, Porter, and Smith finished runner-up in the women's DMR.
The DMR team of Brett Armbruster, Kazuma Bowring, Ethan Bowens, and Matthew Scheneberg finished third in the men's finals, earning All-Conference Third Team. Armbruster also finished third in the 800, racing a time of 1:51.44
The outdoor season opens at the River City Spring Break Classic on Thursday, March 16 at North Florida. Live results can be found HERE.
